Where big ideas find support

Apply for Aptos Ecosystem Grants to turn bold ideas into lasting impact.

Ecosystem Grants back builders strengthening the Aptos network.

The Aptos Foundation’s Ecosystem Grants fund exceptional founders and startups building applications, infrastructure, and tools that expand the Aptos network. Grants typically range from $5,000 to $50,000 and are milestone-based.

FAQs

We welcome applications from small teams, enterprises, academic and research groups, and non-profit organizations.

Projects involving illicit trade, money laundering, pornography, or illegal activity are not eligible. “Restricted persons” as defined by our Terms of Use are also ineligible.

If your project fits within the Payments or Consumer focus areas, apply directly to those tracks. Payment Grants fund teams reimagining how money moves (wallets, APIs, compliance, and infrastructure), while Consumer Grants support fast, experimental projects designed for on-chain adoption.

If your project doesn’t fall into either of those categories, the Ecosystem Grants track is the best fit.

Open-source projects are preferred, but a clear plan to open-source over time is also acceptable. In some cases, you may be asked to open-source specific components related to your Aptos grant, such as smart contracts.
Funding is milestone-based. You’ll propose milestones in your application, and if approved, funds are released in stages as those milestones are met.
If tokens are part of your grant, they may be subject to a lock-up period of 40 days to up to 12 months from vesting.
Ecosystem Grants are for teams with traction. If your project is still early, Aptos builder programs, such as hackathons and Aptos Assembly, are designed to help teams gain traction and maturity before applying for direct grants.
