FAQs

We welcome applications from small teams, enterprises, academic and research groups, and non-profit organizations.

Projects involving illicit trade, money laundering, pornography, or illegal activity are not eligible. “Restricted persons” as defined by our Terms of Use are also ineligible.

Yes. Teams that have raised up to seed funding are eligible. Payment Grants are designed for MVP+ projects with early traction that are still pre-Series A.
Beyond funding, selected teams may receive Gas Station Credits, Security Credits, technical mentorship, and visibility within the Aptos ecosystem.

If your project isn’t payments-specific, consider an Ecosystem Grant or a Consumer Grants. Early-stage teams without an MVP should begin with Builder Programs like hackathons or Aptos Assembly.

Open-source projects are preferred, but a clear plan to open-source over time is also acceptable. In some cases, you may be asked to open-source specific components related to your Aptos grant, such as smart contracts.
Funding is milestone-based. You’ll propose milestones in your application, and if approved, funds are released in stages as those milestones are met.
