Aptos becomes the first Move-based blockchain to be integrated with USDG0

Aptos is the first Move-based blockchain to be integrated with USDG0, the bridged extension of Paxos’ Global Dollar stablecoin (USDG) via LayerZero’s omnichain interoperability framework. The launch brings a fully backed, regulated, and transparent stablecoin to the Aptos ecosystem.

Why USDG0 matters for Aptos

Stablecoin adoption on Aptos continues to grow across DeFi, payments, and emerging financial applications. USDG0 adds another high-quality option to the network, offering developers and users a trusted asset backed 1:1 by US dollar reserves held in regulated institutions.

This launch marks a meaningful step in the expansion of Aptos’ already diverse stablecoin ecosystem—which includes USDT, USDC, USDE, PYUSD0, and USD1—increasing choice, interoperability, the availability of trusted dollar instruments, broader financial-grade use cases, and closer integration with the Global Dollar Network.

USDG0 on Aptos gives developers, protocols, and institutions access to a regulated stablecoin underpinned by the same transparency and compliance standards that define all Paxos-issued assets. The Aptos Foundation will work with key Aptos ecosystem protocols to integrate USDG0 in support of sustainable, ecosystem-wide adoption.

Building on partnerships with Paxos and LayerZero

USDG0 uses LayerZero’s OFT (Omnichain Fungible Token) standard, enhancing Aptos’ interoperability with one of the most widely adopted cross-chain messaging protocols. This integration ensures liquidity mobility for Aptos users and enables builders to design multi-chain DeFi and payment experiences more easily.

Paxos, an industry leader with more than $180 billion in tokenization activity since 2018, is expanding its integration with Aptos through USDG0. Earlier this year, Paxos also introduced PayPal USD (PYUSD0) on Aptos; with today’s launch of USDG0, developers now have a broader set of trusted dollar assets to build with on Aptos.
