The Consumer Grants track funds quick, experimental projects designed to capture consumer attention on-chain. With grants of up to $25,000, the program supports mobile-first, distribution-driven projects that can launch quickly and iterate fast.

Who Should Apply Consumer Grants are for builders creating lightweight, consumer-facing applications that bring new users into Web3.

We welcome applications from small teams, enterprises, academic and research groups, and non-profit organizations.

Projects involving illicit trade, money laundering, pornography, or illegal activity are not eligible. “Restricted persons” as defined by our Terms of Use are also ineligible.

Consumer Grants provide up to $25,000 USD per project.
Consumer-facing projects that are mobile-first, designed for mainstream adoption, and have clear distribution strategies.
If your project isn’t consumer-specific, consider an Ecosystem Grant or a Payment Grant. Early-stage teams without an MVP should begin with Builder Programs like hackathons or Aptos Assembly.
Open-source projects are preferred, but a clear plan to open-source over time is also acceptable. In some cases, you may be asked to open-source specific components related to your Aptos grant, such as smart contracts.
Funding is milestone-based. You’ll propose milestones in your application, and if approved, funds are released in stages as those milestones are met.
If tokens are part of your grant, they may be subject to a lock-up period of up to 12 months from vesting. This ensures stability and alignment with the long-term growth of the ecosystem.
Consumer Grants are for MVP+ teams. If your project is still early, Aptos Builder Programs, such as hackathons and Aptos Assembly, are designed to help teams gain traction and maturity before applying for direct grants.
